The Fiesta of Five Flags is an annual celebration of the founding of Pensacola, the first European settlement in the United States, in 1559 by Spanish Conquistador, Don Tristan de Luna.
Since that time, five different flags have flown over the City; the Spanish, French, British, Confederate and American. This Top 20 celebration is one of the oldest and largest festivals in Florida.
With events designed to appeal to all ages and interests, Fiesta has always been a significant celebration for the Pensacola community.
McGuire's Irish Pub will host the Annual Mcguire's St. Patrick's Day Run. The event begins at 9am, and will start and finish at McGuire's Irish Pub, Downtown Pensacola.
3.1 miles - starts and finshes at McGuire's Irish Pub. You must be able to run or walk 3.1 miles in under one hour. The course will open to traffic at 9am.
Rules for a Prediction Run
Each runner or walker will predict how long it will take them to complete the 3.1 mile course. The finishers who come closest to the time predicted on their registration form wins.
The Krewe of Lafitte, Pensacola Florida, is the largest all male Mardi Gras Krewe in the Florida Panhandle. The Organization was founded in 1954 to promote a means to celebrate Carnival. The 250 Krewe members enjoy a strong bond between themselves, as well as their families.
Krewe of Lafitte fills the parade routes with 13 lighted floats all built & maintained by the members & housed in 2 warehouses owned by the Krewe. Two of the 13 floats are used for traveling to 7 out of town parades, ranging from Gulfport, Mississippi to Bradenton, Florida.
Sale features 20+ dealers from across the Southeast showcasing antique furniture, silver, china, jewelry, Oriental rugs, linens, vintage clothing, books and more. The Currin Center at Christ Church, 57 W. Wright St.
Proceeds benefit many local charities. This event is sponsered by the Episcopal Church Women of Christ Church in Pensacola Florida.

The Pensacola Civic Band performs its popular Holiday Concert Monday and Tuesday, December 15 and 16, 2008 in the Ashmore Auditorium on the campus of Pensacola Junior College.
