Remember the state fair? Cotton candy, a few old rides, and a circus act or two? Now picture it all on steroids and you've got the Pensacola Interstate Fair!
Ten days of top-notch musical entertainment, exhibits, wild animals, over 60 thrilling rides and great festival foods comes to Pensacola every year in October.
For many fair-goers the concerts and special shows are a large part of the draw. All the shows are included in the admission price, and the Open Air Stage holds 5,000 people.
The race was born after Joe Fernandez the guest speaker from Tampa, Fl. Director of many races and editor of Florida Race Place magazine, he spoke on the cutting edge of multi-sport events such as a triathlon at a race director’s clinic sponsored by the Pensacola Runner’s Association and organized by Ann Knight. Dee Lucas, Promotions and Events person for the island, attended the clinic and approached Ann with the idea of sponsoring a Triathlon on the beach in the off season to promote tourism.
Ever heard of Ouzo? No, how about Bouzouki? No... where have you been all your life? Surely not in Pensacola during the annual Greek Festival!
Once a year the citizens of Pensacola throw one of the happiest parties in town. The Greek Festival remembers the many Greek-Americans who have made Pensacola home and done so much to make the city what it is.
This is a Greek party, so expect there to be plenty of dancing, drinking and overflowing tables of food!

The Annual "Hot to Trot" Reverse Duathlon kicks off. Bikers will set off from the Flora~bama and bike along the beautiful Gulf of Mexico ending at the Gulf State Park Picnic/Boat launch area at the pavillion...bikes will be left in a secure designated area.
BayFest will celebrate its 15th anniversary on October 2-4, 2009 with an anticipated 200,000 guests who will make merry on the streets of downtown Mobile, Alabama for three days and nights to the strains of over 125 live musical acts.
