The Market Shops at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort will add a French twist to the holiday season with their much anticipated Holiday Kick-off, celebrating the arrival of everyone’s favorite Beaujolais…Beaujolais Nouveau! Guests will kick off the holiday season with an evening of rich heritage and culture centered upon an array of succulent French Country cuisine paired with exceptional Beaujolais wines.
Every fall, the lovely section of France between the Rhone and Saone Rivers, known as Beaujolais, is pure pandemonium. The chaos is the result of the race to get freshly packed cases of the year’s first Beaujolais to market. At one minute past midnight on the third Thursday in November, trucks leave the wineries and hurry toward Lyon and Paris and all over France with hundreds and hundreds of cases of Beaujolais Nouveau. French law prohibits the release of Beaujolais Nouveau before this time and it is strictly controlled.
Since 1859, the fine wines of the Beaujolais vineyards owned by the Hospices de Beaune have been carried to market in Beaune and auctioned off to benefit the town’s hospices. As tradition rules, a portion of the proceeds from the celebration benefits the local Sacred Heart Hospital on the Emerald Coast. The celebration of this “new wine” has become the toast of the town in cities such as New York, Chicago and Boston. Now the timeless tradition will move to Sandestin and the proceeds from this Gulf Coast party will also benefit the Sacred Heart Hospital.
The Market Shops at Sandestin is a unique collection of nearly 30 specialty boutiques and eateries featuring every thing from the latest retail fashions to fine home furnishings. The Shops open daily at 10 a.m. and everyone is looking forward to this auspicious occasion!

where and how much for the special dinner beaujolais nouveau?we use to attend this event,but this year it seems to be different
