Mardi Gras in Panama City Beach? You bet! PCB may not be New Orleans, but we still know how to have a good time. In fact, the people of the Panama City area love Mardi Gras so much that there are actually three celebrations.
Downtown Panama City
First up is the Downtown Panama City Mardi Gras.
The Downtown Panama City Mardi Gras sponsored by the Krewe of Massalina features an all-day music, food and fun Festival at the Marina Civic Center, an evening Parade, Costume Contests and more. Festivities will take place on January 29th and 30th, 2010.
Emerald Coast Business Women Association raises local college scholarship money through the annual "Death by Chocolate" event.
Enjoy a night of delectable desserts from Emerald Coast's finest restaurants. Local restaurants & catering services bring in bite-sized dessert samples for the public to taste with their ticket purchase along with a silent auction.
Creative Gems donates a "one of a kind" jewelry piece for a raffle item that one lucky winner goes home with that evening.
The American Red Cross presents The Gulf Coast Home and Garden Expo. This is an event sponsored by Peoples First, The Florida Lottery,The News Herald, WJHG TV, Knology and many more.
Visitors can watch the pros at work, test landscaping design, and gather information for home projects. This will be an informative event sure to please the entire family with displays, demonstrations, children's activities, food, prizes and entertainment.
