Summer is almost over and if you haven't taken your vacation yet, you better get movin'! Late summer is a wonderful time to visit your favorite beach destination and relax in the surf and sand. The crowds are gone... rates are better... and there's less traffic. In fact, it might be the BEST time to visit to the beach!

Having Nothing
To Do!
Having “nothing to do” is a good thing to some and not so good to others… but if you’re looking for “something” to do, family-friendly Myrtle Beach is chock-full of recreational activities.

First, it’s important to remember that golf isn't the ONLY thing to do though there are nearly 100 courses in the area, including the renowned Legends... but what about swimming, boating, fishing... or water skiing? Even a day spent on a jet-ski can be big-time FUN! Second, just about everything happens on the beachfront... it's the center of all the action and it just so happens that this wide strip of sand is next to a wide variety of other amusements: amusement parks, water parks, and eateries to name a few.

A Daytrip to Seaside
As you head west, the world's most beautiful beaches just go on and on. It's well worth the drive to see how the beaches and communities change as you leave Panama City Beach and head for Seaside, the "perfect" little beach community.

Just after Carillon Beach, Hwy 98 takes off over Phillips Inlet Bridge, giving you a first glimpse of water and a hint of the spectacular scenery that's ahead. Soon thereafter is a small turn off, 30A, that will take you to Seaside at the perfect, leisurely pace.
