For the first time, the Egyptian traditions and rituals of preparing for a glorious rebirth after death are revealed in "The Quest for Immortality: Treasures of Ancient Egypt." Ancient Egyptian beliefs and practices based on the after-life journey of Pharaohs are dramatically illustrated through magnificent objects from Egypt and a life-sized reconstruction of the burial chamber of Thutmose III, the grandfather of King Tut! From the earliest times, Egyptians denied the physical impermanence of life. They formulated a remarkably complex set of beliefs and funneled vast material resources into the quest for immortality. Atlanta's Central Park - Piedmont ParkWho says that a park is no fun in the winter? Piedmont Park is a beautiful place in the fall and winter... it sees the leaves turn a palette of colors, then fall only to reveal the true topography of the land. It's a park for locals and visitors alike...a park for quiet repose or an energetic game of football.
