Atlanta, GA -The Annual Grant Park Summer Shade Festival includes over 100 artists in the market, food, children's activities and live entertainment.
The second and last day of the Festival kicks off and the Festival Artist Market and Food Vendors get moving, Entertainment Stages begin to send tunes through the park and at noon Childrens' Fun Center reopen..
The Annual Adams Realtors 5K Run for the Park is the kick off event for the Grant Park Summer Shade Festival. Also included is a TotTrot and Stroller Roll. Walkers are welcome to participate in the 5K. Register on-line at www.active.com or call 404.688.1222. Corporate groups are welcome. Proceeds benefit the Grant Park Conservancy.
Saturday you can enjoy live performances on the Rock Stage as the Summer Shade Festival gets into full swing. Sunday the Festival and Rock Stage opens and provides great local bands until 6pm.
Kids, the Summer Shade Festival has an area just for you. Under the cover of a large pavilion, kids can take part in craft activities, make old post cards with the Atlanta History Center, listen to storytellers, see puppet shows, and more. You can even bring your parents.
The Annual Grant Park Summer Shade Festival was a tremendous success. The 5000+ visitors were able to shop, dine, listen to music, participate in the 5K RUN FOR THE PARK and more.
