March of Dimes Bikers for Babies

Atlanta, GA -

On Sunday, October 12, Bikers for Babies, formerly RIDE to Save Babies, will take over one of NASCAR’s most prestigious tracks, the Atlanta Motor Speedway! This year’s event is a destination ride-in with motorcycle enthusiasts around the region riding to the Atlanta Motor Speedway for the opportunity to take their wheels on the track!

March of Dimes Peachtree Thunder Parade

The March of Dimes Ride to Save Babies is the only Atlanta Motor Speedway event allowing motorcycles on the track. Start forming ride-in teams now! “If you attend one charity ride this year, make it the March of Dimes Ride. Our new venue and format truly makes it the most unique fundraiser around,” said Event Chairman John Woodruff. “Atlanta Motor Speedway is a southern icon and the Ride activities are going to be one of a kind. You won’t want to miss it.”

Since 1992, the March of Dimes and the motorcycle community have partnered in the fight to save babies by raising funds to help prevent birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality. 100% of the proceeds from the March of Dimes Georgia Ride to Save Babies are designated for specific programs designed to support families with a baby in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and promote family-centered care within the hospital. NICU Family Support is a comprehensive set of services aimed at 1) providing information and comfort to NICU families during the NICU hospitalization of their newborn during the transition home, and in the event of a newborn death; 2) contributing the NICU staff professional development; and 3) promoting the philosophy of family-centered-care through the NICU.
